ACQUIRED IN 2023: CAMINO DE TRAVESIA, CARMEL VALLEY
The Conservancy for the Range of the Condor is pleased to announce its acquisition of a 48-acre property in Carmel Valley. As you can see in the accompanying map, the property abuts Garland Ranch above the Robles Del Rio neighborhood of Carmel Valley Village.
The Range of the Condor is dedicated to acquiring or otherwise protecting habitat, for animals and plants, which results--ultimately--in great benefit to humans. This property is steep and wooded, and the anticipation is that its use will not change much from its current use, that it will continue to serve as a buffer between Garland Park and the Robles del Rio neighborhood. The property has only one main civilized use, in that a driveway easement to a neighboring property bisects our lot. There are a few other easements as well, for PG&E and other electrical lines, but mostly the lots (there are two) consist of steep, dense forest and brush.
Purchase of this property was made possible through a generous donation. The donor wishes to remain anonymous.
The Range of the Condor currently owns about 350 acres of land, all of it in Carmel Valley.
